Tennis Ball is a shiny Marill from the Pokemon series of games and is kept as a pet by Friendly Fire's Toadkarter.

[edit] Appearance
Unlike most Marill's, Tennis Ball is a bright green color rather than the species' typical baby blue coloring. This is known as it's "Shiny" form and is very rare to find in the wild.

Unlike most Pokemon, Tennis Ball is completely mute, never even muttering the species' normal cry of "Marill." Instead, he communicates through body language.
Tennis Ball is very different than most Pokemon as he is not used to fight but rather as a pet. Tennis Ball spends his time in the Friendly Fire house following Teeks around and hanging out with his fellow roommates. Due to the popularity of the DS in the household, Tennis Ball taught himself how to play the DS and is often found using whatever DS he can find that isn't in use.
Tennis Ball is very happy and carefree but has a deep admiration for his owner, Teeks. He doesn't like to see him get hurt and is often frightened for the safety of the household and his best friend.

The idea for a Shiny Marill known as Tennis Ball first came to mind when Friendly Fire's author, Matt, recieved a tennis ball as a gift from one of his friends. Being that he's a weirdo, he wrote the word "Marill" on the tennis ball because of it's shiny form. It was then that the idea of the character was born.

Tennis Ball has become a mascot of sorts for the Friendly Fire household, mostly because of his ability to play the DS and his antics with Oddy.

Teeks recieved Tennis Ball through a trade with a mysterious person known as FroggyMudd. Since then, Tennis Ball has developed a strong relationship with Teeks. He is Tennis Ball's best friend and is often seen carrying him on his head. Tennis Ball idolizes Teeks and would do anything to see him safe and happy.

Oddy and Tennis Ball have a small rivalry within the Friendly Fire house, all because Tennis Ball can play the DS and Oddy can't. Oddy doesn't own a DS and is often angered because the pet of the house gets to play but he doesn't. This has caused a number of humorous spats between the two, one of which even left Oddy seriously injured.
